Bowley Hill Trail Race
MAIN ARENA DISPLAYS 2018
We are the only northern show holding non-stop main arena displays throughout the day.
Galloping Acrobatics specialise in providing flamboyant vaulting based horse displays, arena acts and entertainment for events and shows throughout the UK. All shows aim to inspire, delight, enchant and excite, whilst also provide an insight into the amazing world of equestrian performance art.
Ridgeside Lurcher and Terrier Racing
Back by popular demand! See their fantastic lurchers/terriers do what comes naturally to them - racing at full speed chasing the electric lure. They offer a fast, action-packed demonstration with an informative and humorous commentary. Last year we had loads of visitors taking advantage of having a go with their own dogs chasing a lure in the main ring, which provided endless laughter (a particular highlight was two sausage dogs putting in 110% effort)

EATING AND DRINKING
We aim for both high quality and wide variety in our range of foods and drinks, so as many of our stands as possible provide locally-produced foodstuffs, catering for all diets, including vegetarian, vegan, diabetic and gluten-free. With the huge choice of meals and snacks on offer in the food court, there is always something for every taste.
We have the cream of the Northern food producers with their award-winning products.
To eat on the go, there are traditional breakfasts, bacon butties, black peas, black puddings, chips, curries, samosas, filled baked potatoes and hog roasts. You may even like to try ostrich, bison, kangaroo or camel T-cakes!
To take home, we always have locally made Lancashire pies, cheeses and home-produced and rare breed meats, and a large selection of world food, savoury and sweet, from Asia to the West Indies, taking in China, Germany, Italy, India, Mauritius, Mexico, Spain, and Poland!
There is also a large range of home made honey and preserves to enhance them.
For those with a sweet tooth, there are pancakes and doughnuts, candy floss and fudge, home made ice cream, cakes and biscuits and a huge choice of traditional, old-fashioned sweets.
For the thirsty, a cup of freshly ground coffee, chocolate or a refreshing cup of tea is always available, as are fresh fruit juices and soft drinks, traditional home produced natural cordials, and of course a cold glass of something stronger for the adults, from one of our specialist stands or the public beer tents, supplying a large range of local real ales, lagers, ciders, and spirits.
